Collingwood Paddling Club

Paddle Camp - REGISTRATION OPENS 1ST FEBRUARY, 2024

Camp is for youth ages 8-14. No previous paddling experience is necessary but every participant must be a competent swimmer. Campers must arrive with their own appropriately sized personal floatation device (PFD), sunscreen, lunch, water bottle, bathing suit and change of clothes. Campers will be wearing their Personal Flotation Devices (PFD’s) at all times when on the water or the docks, but they must be comfortable in the event they tip their boat over.

Participants will:

  • Learn how to safely paddle a recreational canoe and kayak.

  • Be introduced to sprint canoeing, kayaking, dragon boat and war canoe racing.

  • Swim and be in the water – a lot!

  • Play various on-water games to enhance paddling skills.

  • Paddle to Harbour View and Sunset Point Parks and play-fields.

  • Explore the Black Ash Creek.

  • Participate in fun competitions throughout the week.

  • Meet other kids and have lots of fun!

Every child who attends Paddle Camp becomes a member of the Collingwood Paddling Club and can paddle throughout the season during CPC “Open Paddle” hours, provided they are accompanied by a parent.

Paddle Camp costs $350 per full week and $280 for 4 day weeks and runs from 9-4. Use code when you register before March 31, 2024 for an EARLY BIRD discount on regular weekly camp rates.
